Metaphysical
Here in the Metaphysical Department we study the Study of science. No idea is too strange to consider. However extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Our objective as a university is not to prove or disprove but to provide a venue in which all areas of study no matter how far-fetched or taboo to the cultures of the world can be explored and shared for the edification and understanding of everyone.
Dyatlov Pass
In 1953 Igor Dyatlov, a 23-year old radio engineering student at the Ural Polytechnical Institute assembled a group for a skiing expedition across the northern Ural Mountains. In total, the group had 8 men and 2 women. Each member of the group was a Grad II hiker with ski tour experience and would receive the highest grade certification upon their return. However, the group never returned. Sometime between February 1 and 2 of 1959, all the members of the group mysteriously died. Sometime during the night, the group cut themselves out of their tents. They were inadequately dressed, surrounded by subzero temperatures and heavy snowfall. After their bodies were found, Soviet authorities investigated and concluded that six of them died from hypothermia and three from different types of physical trauma; two had major chest fractures, one had a fractured skull, one had a missing tongue, and one was missing both eyes. Many theories were raised to explain their deaths including high-intensity katabatic winds, an avalanche, military involvement, attack by Yeti or some kind of animal, infrasound-induced panic, or combinations of these. Since the tragedy, the pass has been renamed Dyatlov in honor of the group's leader.
The Man of Taured
On a hot day in July, 1954, a traveler from Europe presented himself at the customs desk in Tokyo airport. The man presented a passport from a country called Taured. The interview escalated as the man - who spoke fluent French and Japanese - was mystified that the Japanese were not familiar with Taured. The man said this was his third business trip to Japan that year. The man’s passport had previous customs stamps to Japan. He also had a Taured driver’s license and checks from an unknown bank. When he was shown a map of the world, the man expressed shock that his country was not on it. He explained that Taured is located where Andorra was located on the map. The man was asked to stay in a hotel room until he could be further interviewed. Two armed guards were outside the door. Yet in the morning, the man had vanished. Many believe the man from Taured was a time traveler.
Spontaneous Human Combustion
The notion that otherwise normal human beings can suddenly and without any evidence of external incendiary devices, ignite into flame, has mystified scientists for centuries. In the novel, Jacob Faithful written in 1834, the author Marryat gave a vivid description of the spontaneous combustion of the protagonist’ mother. Charles Dickens - who was a great fan of Marryat, included his own recounting of a spontaneous human combustion in his 1853 novel, “Bleak House.” There are 120 cases of human beings spontaneously combusting. Many of these deaths have been examined, but there is simply no good explanation for how or why these individuals suddenly burst into flames. Cymatic Healing (from Ancient Greek: κῦμα, romanized: kyma, lit. 'wave') is a subset of modal vibrational phenomena. The term was coined by Hans Jenny (1904-1972), a Swiss follower of the philosophical school known as anthroposophy.
“To the scientific community numerology is classified as a pseudoscientific belief in a divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. It is also the study of the numerical value of the letters in words, names, and ideas. It is often associated with the paranormal, alongside astrology and similar to divinatory arts.”
Astral Projection
Astral projection (also known as astral travel), is a term used in esotericism to describe an intentional out-of-body experience (OBE)[1][2] that assumes the existence of a subtle body called an "astral body" through which consciousness can function separately from the physical body and travel throughout the astral plane.
