Bio -

I was born in Oakland, California and raised somewhat by my surroundings in the inner city.  I used to get in a lot of trouble so I was frequently sent to my grandmother’s house to help me find my way.  Around the age of 12, I was sent to live with my grandfather whose native name is Papa Skinny. He was the man who taught me about my native heritage.  Papa Skinny owned and operated a hay farm in Dublin, California.  This was before the farms were swallowed up by developers looking to build homes.  This farm is also where I learned that food does not come from a grocery store, it is raised on farms.  And I have to say, farm food is the freshest food.  I learned respect for the animals who give their lives to nourish our bodies with their sacrifice and how to respect and care for Mother Earth.  It is also where I had my first life experience with a skinwalker.  This experience opened my eyes and inspired me to learn more about skinwalkers and other cryptids.  This evolved into a lifelong passion for that knowledge.

This time I spent with Papa Skinny really opened my eyes to my native ancestors and the native way of life.  I learned that my history cannot be found in any history book.  Rather, it must be lived and passed down from older generations to the young.  This is the only way that we preserve our history through the passage of time. Learning these things is how we honor our ancestors and Mother Earth.  I spent many late nights with my grandfather learning stories of our ancestors and many days learning how to respect and preserve Mother Earth.  It is these stories and experiences of my life that I am happy to share with you here at the Supernatural University.
